ACHS Class of 2022 set to graduate tonight

The Adair County High School Class of 2022 will hold its commencement exercises tonight, May 27, at 7 p.m. in the John Burr Memorial Gymnasium. Each senior who is participating in the graduation ceremony will be given 10 tickets for their guests to attend. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

The class of 2022 is made up of 172 students. One hundred and thirteen students in the class have achieved a Latin honor academic recognition. Twenty-three students have earned a Summa Cum Laude designation (weighted GPA of 4.0 or greater), 36 students have earned a Magna Cum Laude designation (weighted GPA of 3.5 to 3.99), and 37 students have earned a Cum Laude designation (weighted GPA of 3.0 to 3.49).

Seniors who received the distinction of Summa Cum Laude (weighted GPA of 4.0 or greater) include:

Seniors will also be wearing zipper pulls that denote postsecondary readiness. Ninety-seven students have achieved Academic and/or Career Readiness benchmarks.

The motto for the Class of 2022 is, “Together, we have experienced life. Separately, we will pursue our dreams. Forever, our memories will remain.” The class chose I’ll Always Remember You by Hannah Montana as the class song, the carnation as the class flower, and blue and black as the class colors.
