ACHS track & field athletes compete at Carl Deaton Classic

Adair County’s track and field athletes competed in the Carl Deaton Classic in Green County on Friday, May 6. The girls’ team finished in a tie for sixth place with Taylor County, scoring 46 points, and the boys’ team finished in 10th place with 21 points.

Below are the athletes and relay members who finished in the top 10 of their events:

Girls’ 100-meter dash

Boys’ High Jump
• 6th place – Nathan Hines
Distance – 5 feet, 2 inches

Boys’ Shot Put
• 7th place – Dylan Pierce
Distance – 40 feet, 2 inches

Boys’ Discus Throw
• 9th place – Dylan Pierce
Distance – 102 feet, 7 inches

The Class 2A Region 2 meet for Adair County is scheduled for Tuesday, May 24 at Warren East in Bowling Green.
