ACSO arrests two on drug charges

The Adair Sheriff’s Office arrested two men Friday on a host of charges following a routine traffic stop.

Sheriff Josh Brockman reports that Deputy Derek Padgett initiated the stop at the Ky. 55-Veterans Bypass intersection. Padgett reportedly observed the 2001 Toyota 4runner commit a violation on nearby Ky. 92. 

A roadside investigation revealed heroin, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm. Both the driver, Andrew Bolin, and the passenger, Preston Sneed, were arrested on felony charges.

Boblin, 35, was charged with driving on a DUI suspended license, failure to maintain insurance, no registration, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Sneed, 29, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, first degree, methamphetamine; possession of a controlled substance, first degree, heroin; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Brockman assisted Padgett at the scene.
