Adair County High School’s baseball and softball teams recognized their respective seniors Tuesday evening prior to each team’s home games.
The baseball squad knocked off LaRue County, 7-5, while the Tribe’s softball team rolled past Somerset Christian in five innings, 12-0.
“That was a very nice win, especially on senior night,” said head baseball coach Ryan McQueary of his boys’ performance. “We fought and battled, which was nice to see. We didn’t have our best game, but I told the guys a win of any type is like a homer that barely gets over the fence. It’s still a win, and that’s what we needed to hopefully get us headed in the right direction. I’m very proud of our team.”
