Adair County Sheriff’s Office makes felony drug arrest in Breeding community

On Sunday, July 31, at 5:06 p.m., Adair County Sheriff’s Deputy Kenny Perkins initiated a traffic stop in the Breeding community, south of Columbia.

The operator — Billy Collins, 44, of Columbia — was suspected of having illegal substances on or about his person. After searching, suspected methamphetamine was located along with drug paraphernalia. 

In addition, there was an outstanding arrest warrant from Adair District Court. Collins was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of:

• possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, methamphetamine

• possession of drug paraphernalia

• outstanding bench warrant Adair District Court

The Adair County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation.
