An Adair County man faces multiple charges after Adair County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance on Monday.
On June 6, K-9 Deputy Chandler Staten and Deputy Kenny Perkins responded to multiple 911 calls on Vester Road around 5 a.m. involving 38-year-old Jonathon Bryant.
Deputies located Bryant traveling on Vester Road as he was leaving a residence where a physical altercation had taken place and was nearly struck head on by the Toyota truck he was operating.
Bryant left the roadway and struck a brick entrance to a private drive. Bryant continued to disobey commands to exit the vehicle and continued to try and get the vehicle unstuck when Deputy Staten deployed a taser.
Bryant was taken into custody and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on charges of:
• reckless driving
• operating a motor vehicle under influence
• operating on suspended license
• assault 2nd degree
• resisting arrest
• wanton endangerment
• criminal mischief
The sheriff’s office is continuing its investigation.
