Will Rich’s squad for the Blake Martin Memorial Alumni Game just got better.

After Rich and Clay Turner’s draft selections were announced earlier this week, one more player has been added to the pool, one that could potentially swing the competitive balance. Kevin Bridgewaters, a former runner-up for Mr. Basketball and first team all-state selection in 2003, will join Rich’s side.

Bridgewaters will be the contest’s oldest player, but boasts the most impressive resume’ of any of the game’s participants, with a still-going-strong pro career that is well into its second decade.

Rich is full of confidence following the announcement of his team’s new addition. He believes Bridgewaters could be the difference in the matchup against Turner, his Tribe44 counterpart.

“I checked with the oddsmakers on this,” Rich explains, “and before Kevin [was added], I was about a five-point favorite. I think I’m around a 15- or 20-point favorite now. I spoke to Chris Lewis, and he said that Clay’s team is too small. They’re tall but too skinny, so we’re feeling good about it.”

Shots fired.
