Condy Lee Young, 78 of Columbia, died Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the Russell County Hospital emergency room.
He was born May 9, 1943, in Adair County to the late Norman Kenneth “Rattler” and Eliza McKinley Young. He was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, a member of Hood Lodge # 839 for over 50 years, retired from the Kentucky Highway Department after 35 years and a lifelong farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lynn Young; and two brothers, Kenneth Reed Young and Gene Allen Young.
Survivors include:
Three daughters – Sheila (Steve) Robertson of Russell Springs, Sharman (Steve) Roy and Sharon (Jamie) Richard, both of Columbia
Three grandchildren – Chase, Devin and BodeRichard
Funeral service is Monday, March 21, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, with Bro. Stan Milby and Bro. Danny Withers officiating. Burial is in Columbia Cemetery.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Masonic rites will be conducted Sunday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home by Hood Lodge #839.
Casket-bearers are Tim Baker, Sam Baker, Barry McEloy, Jon Loy, Mike Loy, and Mike Sullivan. Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
