Cumberland Family Medical’s press release on the announcement is below:

Cumberland Family Medical Center, Inc. (CFMC) is pleased to announce their expansion into the Lake Cumberland Regional Industrial Park Complex.

“We are excited about this purchase and our ability to bring new life and new jobs into the industrial park location,” said Dr. Eric Loy, CEO of Cumberland Family Medical Center, Inc. “Despite economic and health care challenges of the past couple of years, CFMC has continued to expand and provide more services across our service area.”

Since its founding in 2007, CFMC has expanded from a 10-county service area with two locations to a 30-county service area with 158 locations and approximately 850 employees. This site in the industrial park will allow CFMC to continue to grow current services while expanding into additional areas of health care. CFMC has plans to build out the current structure on the property to serve as a distribution center for their clinic network, provide conference space, and additional administrative offices.

“Russell County has become our central point for our administrative offices,” says Loy. “Access to the Cumberland Parkway and HWY 127 were both factors in this purchase.”

In Russell County, CFMC currently operates two health care facilities, three administrative offices, and five school-based health clinics. Statewide, CFMC operates 41 clinic locations, 113 school-based sites, three administrative sties, and one mobile medical unit. They offer primary care, behavioral health care, pediatrics, OB/GYN, internal medicine, oral health, immediate care, and both school-based and workplace clinics. Services are available in person and through Telehealth options.

Cumberland Family Medical Center, Inc. is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) network with a 30-county service area across south-central and north-central Kentucky with 158 service locations. In 2020, CFMC was ranked as the largest FQHC in Kentucky and the 16th largest in the nation.
