The Russell County School District’s family resource centers held a community back-to-school bash Friday at Veterans Fairgrounds.
Various community booths were set up by churches and other community organizations handing out free school supplies to the families in attendance. Each student also received a free backpack.
The event was for any student enrolled in the district.
