Good morning County Line Readers. Happy Monday, and Happy National Cereal Day. Go ahead and have that second bowl of Lucky Charms, because you’re going to need your energy.
Just before 5 a.m. the temperature is sitting at a mild 69 degrees in both Columbia and Russell Springs, but the howling winds we’re currently experiencing are anything but mild. We’re looking at showers and possible thunderstorms starting a little after 6 a.m. and continuing through early afternoon. Even after the precipitation is over, look for temperatures to continue to drop. Expect to approach today’s low of 38 degrees around 10 or 11 p.m.
We have a busy week ahead of us, starting this morning with a giveaway at Adair County Elementary School, followed by the Columbia City Council March meeting later today, and a host of other events, meetings and noteworthy happenings will follow over the next few days.
Here’s a reminder to check out our events calendar and Wall of Veterans page. Help us fill out these pages by sending suggested additions! Just email countyline@adair-russell.com to add an event or honor a veteran.
We’re wishing a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY today to Lizzie Horne!
In addition to the calendar and Wall of Veterans pages, readers are encouraged to send additions to our birthday and anniversary calendars. Email us at countyline@adair-russell.com to get your special dates added to the list!
