Good morning, County Line Readers. Happy Tuesday and happy National Proofreading Day! Whether you’re in this business, where proofreading is an everyday part of the job, or you sometimes send a text without making sure AutoCorrect didn’t butcher the intended message, we could all benefit from a little extra proofing from time to time. In that spirit, let’s hope I can make it through this post without any glaring or embarrassing mistakes!
Just a few ticks before 6 a.m. this morning, the thermometer reads a cool 36 degrees at both The County Line headquarters in Russell Springs and the Adair branch in north Columbia. Yesterday’s rain interrupted a several-day streak of milder weather, and winter has returned with a vengeance today. Both counties in the County Line coverage area are expecting a high of just 51 degrees today, a brief peak around 3 or 4 p.m. Otherwise, expect to stay in the 30s and 40s for most of the day and evening. We’ll see heavy cloud coverage throughout the day, and a chance of showers starting between 7 and 8 p.m. and continuing through tomorrow morning.
We’re wishing a big HAPPY BIRTHDAYS today to Neil Goodin and Brian Montgomery!
As always, readers are encouraged to send additions to our birthday and anniversary calendars. Email us at countline@adair-russell.com to get your special dates added to the list!
