Good morning, County Line readers! Today is National Read Across America Day, so crack open your favorite book, magazine, or newspaper, or keep reading this website. The annual celebration, created by the National Education Association in 1998, aims to instill a lifelong love of reading in students (and adults) of all ages.
Grab your favorite paperback and head outside today to get lost in a book and take in some sun, because we’re looking at another beautiful day today. Just before 7 a.m. this morning, the temperature is hovering just below 40 degrees in both Adair and Russell counties, but expect it to warm up throughout the morning and early afternoon.
The high today will approach 70 degrees in The County Line’s coverage area, a welcome sign that spring is just around the corner. Expect clear skies and plenty of sunshine, without a drop of precipitation in sight.
This is where we hope to publish birthdays and anniversaries for County Line readers in the near future, so send us your special dates to countyline@adair-russell.com and we’ll get them added to the list!
