Good morning, County Line readers. Happy Thursday, and Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! Whether you’re Irish, claim to be Irish, or not at all Irish, let’s wear some green and have the kind of productive day that Ireland’s foremost patron saint would be proud of.
Starting today and continuing through the weekend, we’ll be treated to the best four-day stretch of sports all year. The magic of March Madness is far from a secret, but those “in the know” know that the first two rounds are actually the most exciting. We hope all the hoops fans in The County Line coverage area can get home from work just a little bit early today to catch as much of the action as possible. Kentucky is set to play 15-seed Saint Peter’s at 6:10 p.m.
At approximately 6:30 a.m., the thermometer at The County Line’s Adair branch in north Columbia currently reads 49 degrees, just slightly warmer than the 48 degrees displayed right outside company headquarters in Russell Springs. The forecast today is cloudy, but the high is expected to top 70 degrees. Don’t expect any precipitation, but there’s a good chance of rain tomorrow.
We don’t have any birthdays or anniversaries to announce this morning, but as always, readers are encouraged to send additions to our birthday and anniversary calendars. Email us at countyline@adair-russell.com to get your special dates added to the list!
