Good morning and happy Thursday, folks! Thanks for letting us join you for breakfast.
Today is National Dolphin Day, so take some time to learn about the super-intelligent aquatic mammals—or at least pour one out for Ray Finkle, the poor fella who took all the blame as placekicker because Dan Marino didn’t hold the ball laces out. Whichever version of Dolphin you choose to celebrate today is cool with us.
We have plenty of great content on today’s docket, but first, let’s check in with the intern for today’s weather report:
Just a few minutes after 6 a.m., it’s currently a brisk 46 degrees just outside company headquarters in Russell Springs, with heavy cloud coverage and a feeling that it could start raining at any moment. Reports from the Adair County office in north Columbia are an identical 46 degrees, and it’s the same just down the road in Jamestown. Expect a high in the low to mid 60s today, with the clouds parting by mid-morning. Today should be mostly sunny.
We have two special birthdays to report today: Mary Susan Ford and Joe Brown. We hope both of you enjoy being a year older!
For the rest of this month, anyone who submits their birthday or anniversary is entered into a drawing for free car washes for an entire year, thanks to our partners at Splash Carwash. Follow this link and comment with your special dates and enter the contest!
