High school golf: Lakers triumph over Wayne County

The Russell County High School boys’ golf team eked out a hard-fought win Tuesday over Wayne County.

Playing at Lakewood Country Club, the Lakers edged Wayne by four strokes, 166-170. Daylon Blevins had the low score, with 39.

Bentley Perkerson shot 41, Noah McMillin and Kole Rixon each managed a 43, Parker Johnson shot 44, Josiah Dudgeon 48, and Landon Bryant rounded out Russell County’s scorecard with a 51.
