Laker Golf secures 12th-place finish in ‘loaded’ field at LaRue County Invitational

The Russell County Laker golf team was on the road Saturday at My Old Kentucky Home State Park, playing in the LaRue County Invitational. 

In a loaded 21-team field, the Lakers came out with a 12th-place finish, shooting a team score of 337. The Lakers were led by senior Bentley Perkerson with a score of 79. Freshmen Daylon Blevins and Noah McMillin added rounds of 82 and 84.

Sophomores Kole Rixon and Parker Johnson both completed the scoring with rounds of 92 and 97, respectively. 

The Laker golf team will be back in action on Monday as the team heads to Metcalfe County to play against Hart and Allen County in a four-team match.
