The Miss South Central Kentucky 2022 pageant took place Saturday, March 12, at the Jim Blair Center in Columbia.

The event was hosted by Abby Maulden, a seventh-grader at Adair County Middle School and the 2021 Ms. Adair County Preteen title-holder, but in addition to the pageant, there was a charitable aspect to the event as well.

With 40 contestants participating, the event raised $2,250 in donations to the Columbia-Adair County Fire Department for the WHAS Crusade for Children.

The contestant that brought in the most donations was Aaliyah Booker, who brought in a little over $1,000 and was named “Civic Queen” of the pageant.
