A Columbia man died Wednesday as the result of a logging accident on Tower Road in Adair County.
Kentucky State Police report that Tony Burton, 53, had been using a tractor to maneuver timber when the machine overturned. Burton and the tractor went into a deep ravine, and Burton was trapped underneath. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
KSP is continuing the investigation, led by Tpr. Levi Scott. The Adair County Coroner, Adair County Sheriff’s Office, Adair County Fire Dept., and Adair EMS also responded.
