Montra Keen, 89, of Columbia, died Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at TJ Health/Columbia.
She was born Jan. 8, 1933, in Adair County, to the late Rollin and Trannie Russell Murrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn S. Keen on May 8, 1987; a son, Michael Glenn Keen; a brother, Tommie Murrell’ and a sister, Mary Russell Baise.
Ms. Keen was a member of Columbia Christian Church for 68 years and a retired educator after teaching for over 35 years.
Survivors include:
One daughter and son-in-law – Alice and Mike Curry, of Columbia
One son and daughter-in-law – Stephen and Mary Keen, of Columbia
Four grandchildren – Kyle Curry, Katherine Curry, Molly Miller and husband Trent and Luke Keen
One great-grandchild – Glenn Miller
Several other relatives and friends
Funeral service is Friday, May 13, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, with Bro. Paul Patton, Bro. John Davis, and Bro. Adam Shepard officiating
Burial is in Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Gideon Bible plan or Green River Animal Shelter would be appreciated. These can be made at the funeral home.
Casket-bearers are Kyle Curry, Luke Keen, Trent Miller, C.J. Rodgers, Greg Murrell, David Murrell, and Ed Baise.
Honorary casket-bearers are Debbie Bryant, Phyllis Arnold, Sandy Antle, Pat Wheeler, and Marie Lemmon. Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
