Rachel E. Willis, 88, of Columbia, died Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 7:02 p.m. at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
She was born Oct. 9, 1933, in Adair County, to the late William Taft and Anna (Sneed) Sneed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob “Jake” Willis; a son, Gary Michael Willis; three brothers, Charles, Henry and L.T. Sneed; and her son-in-law, Doug Cox.
Rachel was a member of Jones Chapel Church, a former log truck driver and a homemaker.
Survivors include:
Three sons – Ricky (Helen) Willis of Columbia; David (Penny) Willis of Custer, Kentucky; Mark (Debbie) Willis of Columbia
One daughter – Ann Cox of Campbellsville
One brother – Jerry Sneed of Ohio
10 grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren
Several other relatives and friends
Funeral service is Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, with Bro. Jonathan Willis officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is after 4:00 p.m. Monday.
Casket-bearers are Clint Cox, Keven Willis, Trevor Willis, Peyton Eaton, Alex Loy, Andrew Loy, and Jamison Ford.
Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
