Rebecca Sue Parnell gained her heavenly reward on February 9, 2022, surrounded by her family.
She was born November 22, 1948 to the late James “Lum” Boston and Esther McCubbin Sanders, who survives.
“Becky” was of the Baptist faith and tried to reflect that in her daily life. She enjoyed volunteering at the food pantry where she made many friends.
She loved her family and took pride in all their accomplishments. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Adam Isbell; a grandson, Andrew Cowan; a brother, Michael Boston; a sister-in-law, Donna Sanders; her stepdad, Robert “Bob” Sanders; and her stepmom, Becky Boston.
In addition to her mother, Becky is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jimmy Parnell; five children, Matt Isbell, Marvin (Monica) Isbell, Tammy (Terry) Alford, Landon (Leann) Parnell and Lucas (Angela) Parnell; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four brothers, Gary Sanders, Robbie (Alta) Sanders, Jimmy (Linda) Boston, Roger (Karen) Boston; two sisters, Patricia (Randy) Cooper and Betsy (Michael) Morgan; and many other family members and friends.
Funeral service was Monday, February 14, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home. Bro. Steve Spoon officiated.
Entombment was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Visitation was on Sunday, February 13, from 2-7 p.m.
Casket bearers were Tyler Parnell, Colton Parnell, Josh Isbell, Andy Parnell, Corey Parnell and Ryan Cole.
Honorary casket bearers were Stephanie Wilson, Mackenzie Parnell and Jennifer Brown.
The family would appreciate a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital instead of flowers, which can be made at the funeral home. Grissom-Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
