Russell County track and field teams compete in Danville

Russell County’s track and field athletes competed in the Danville High School All-Comers meet on Tuesday, April 12. The girls finished in ninth place with 16 points, and the boys came in seventh place with 14 total points. Below are the athletes and relay members who finished in the top 10 of their events:

Girls’ 100-meter dash

• 8th place – Junior Olivia Hinkle

Boys’ 4×200-meter relay

• 8th place – Junior Antonio Noyola, Sophomore Chance Betts, Freshman Mason Morrison, and Junior Clayton Trosper

Girls’ 1600-meter run

• 4th place – Junior Lauren White 
Time – 6:56.61

• 5th place – Junior Jenna White   
Time – 6:56.67

Girls’ 300-meter hurdles

• 4th place – Junior Cheyenne Robertson

• 5th place – Freshman Hadleigh Parrish

Boys’ 300-meter hurdles

• 5th place – Junior Clayton Trosper

• 7th place – Freshman Mason Morrison

Boys’ Shot Put

3rd Place – Sophomore Nick Ford

Boys’ Long Jump

4th Place – Junior Clayton Trosper            
Distance – 17 feet, 1 inch

The next scheduled meet for Russell County is the Campbellsville-Durham High School Invitational on Friday, April 15.
