Volunteering with hospice is a rewarding way to enhance the lives of hospice patients and their families. You’ll find companionship with fellow volunteers and joy in serving others.
T.J. Regional Health is always looking for committed and caring members of our community who want to volunteer for hospice help. If you have an interest in spending time with patients, have special talents you would like to share, or want to lend a hand in our office, we would like for you to give us a call. Our hospice team will work directly with you to identify opportunities to match your goals and abilities.
The end-of-life transition can bring uncertainty and unease for our patients and their families. Volunteering for hospice helps ease this burden by providing companionship, comfort and other services to people receiving hospice care.
Volunteering activities could include: reading, providing snacks, shopping, games, companionship or working in the hospice office. Personal patient care would not be involved.
T.J. Samson Hospice is accepting applications to serve in our volunteer program, Hands for Hospice. For more information, please contact Brittany Grissom at 270-659-3300 or Brittany.Grissom@tjsamson.org.
